RESPONSIBILITY

Our ethos at Moderne Archive is to create quality pieces, responsibly made with consideration for people and the planet.

We value integrity in our approach and practices, consciously seeking ways to reduce our footprint throughout all stages of production, while still delivering items we are proud of.

Some ways we currently contribute to positive sustainability and ethics practices are:

Low production quantities. We manufacture small quantities for each design and restock as necessary. This helps to minimize excess stock and wasted materials.

Minimal packaging. Where possible, we avoid excessive packaging and promotional materials, which are often discarded immediately.

Non-seasonal. Our designs are intended to be worn for years to come, adapting to your style over time. We create pieces that will live in your wardrobe forever.

Quality. We source premium materials and produce pieces with quality workmanship to ensure they can be worn many times over.

Garment care. Our variety of fabrics, trims and production techniques often require gentle care. We always provide clear information and wash instructions for customers to get the most life out of our pieces.

Working conditions. We have carefully selected responsible, accredited makers, within Australia and internationally, to ethically produce our items following labour policy practices.

Customer transparency. In an industry that can often be vague with sourcing and manufacturing practices, we aim to cultivate an open, honest relationship with our customers.

As creators of new products, achieving absolute sustainability can be challenging given the environmental impacts often associated with production. Here at Moderne Archive, we recognise there is always opportunity for growth and improvement. As we learn, adapt and progress, we commit to a continued effort throughout this journey.
